Built to accurate specification, it is a superb classic police car for film and TV hire, photoshoots, events, PR and shows, and can be re-liveried in-house to any force, era or fictional service. It can also be booked alongside our police advisory for authentic on-set support.
Driven only by our team, on set or moved into position for static hire. Because this is a marked police vehicle, public use is subject to conditions, please see using a marked police vehicle below. Self drive is not offered unless separately agreed.
Owned by us, hired directly from us
Every vehicle in our fleet is wholly owned by Klassic Garage. We are not a broker or middleman for other people's vehicles. We take real pride in our own collection, and we know each vehicle's history, character and abilities inside out, knowledge that comes with every hire, whether it is working on set or on display.
An instantly recognisable 1990s patrol car for productions, campaigns and events across London and nationwide.
A ready-made hero or background police car for period dramas, crime series, thrillers and adverts. Working blue lights and sirens, a full police interior for scenes inside, and re-livery in-house to any real force or a fictional one. Driven on set by our team.
An eye-catching anchor for editorial and fashion shoots, brand activations, launches and press days that want a recognisable British police car, dressed to your brief.
A nostalgic favourite at emergency-services shows, classic vehicle events and open days, presented as a period Metropolitan Police traffic car.
A talking point for retro and 999-themed events and parties, as a driven feature on a closed site or a static centrepiece.
The Rover 800 was a familiar sight in British roads policing through the 1990s, a comfortable, quick executive car pressed into service as a marked traffic car. In Metropolitan Police colours, with the period "jam-sandwich" stripe and blue roof bar, it is pure 1990s Britain.
Ours wears accurate 1990s Met livery, complete with the "VIDEO EQUIPPED" markings and roof identification, working blue lights and sirens, and a full period police fit-out inside, from the radio and controls to the dash equipment, so scenes can be filmed in the car as well as around it.
It has been built up to correct specification, and our graphics team can re-livery it in-house to any real force, a different era or a fictional service, with lighting and signage to match.
This car is part of our classic emergency fleet, and it can be booked alongside Klassic Garage's police advisory. Our advisor Chris spent a full career in roads policing as an advanced and pursuit driver, so on set you get more than a vehicle.
From how the car is positioned, lit and driven, to procedure, radio use and how officers really behave around it, the details that sell a scene come as standard. Book the Rover and the advisor together and it all reads as authentic on camera.

Because this is a fully marked police vehicle, its use in public places is restricted by law. For any hire that takes place in a public setting, for example a photoshoot on a public street, the police markings must be covered and the emergency lighting concealed, unless we have agreed otherwise with you in advance. The blue lights and sirens must never be operated on the public highway.
We cover all lighting and police markings whenever the vehicle is transported to and from a location. On a closed film or TV set, the vehicle can be used fully marked and lit as the production requires. For any public-facing use, please discuss it with us first so we can advise and arrange everything correctly.
Other blue-light and screen-used vehicles from the fleet.
Send us your dates and location, and whether it's for film, TV, a photoshoot or an event, and whether you'd like police advisory too. We'll confirm availability and everything the booking needs.
