1986 · Dennis (Carmichael) · Genuine ex-brigade · Complete with kit · London based, nationwide
A genuine ex-brigade 1986 Dennis fire engine in traditional red, with the honest, worked-in character of an appliance that answered real calls. It comes complete with its period kit, from ladders and hoses to breathing apparatus, and the pump still works. Blue lights, siren and bell all operate. A crowd-stopping classic and vintage fire engine for weddings, film and TV, photoshoots, events, PR and charity days in London and across the country, and it can be re-liveried in-house to any brigade or era.
Driven only by our team, on set or moved into position for static hire. Any use of the pump, lights or audible warnings is arranged in advance and only where it is safe and permitted. Self drive is not offered unless separately agreed.
Owned by us, hired directly from us
Every vehicle in our fleet is wholly owned by Klassic Garage. We are not a broker or middleman for other people's vehicles. We take real pride in our own collection, and we know each vehicle's history, character and abilities inside out, knowledge that comes with every hire, whether it is working on set or turning heads at an event.
A genuine red fire engine that stops everyone in their tracks, for productions, occasions and events across London and nationwide.
A red fire engine is a joyous, characterful way to arrive, with room for a big party and a driver who knows the vehicle. Chauffeured by our team across London, Hertfordshire, Cambridgeshire and beyond.
A genuine period fire engine for dramas, adverts and music videos, complete with kit and a working pump. Driven on set by our team and re-liveried in-house to any brigade or era.
A guaranteed crowd-pleaser at fetes, fundraisers, school and community days and children's parties, where a real fire engine always steals the show.
An eye-catching anchor for brand activations, launches and press days, and a striking prop for editorial and product photoshoots, as a driven feature or a static centrepiece.
Dennis has built fire engines in Britain for well over a century, and by the 1980s its appliances were a familiar sight outside stations up and down the country. Ours is a 1986 Dennis with a Carmichael body, a genuine ex-brigade machine that spent its working life answering emergency calls.
It keeps the honest, worked-in look of a real appliance, in traditional red with the period reflective stripe, its station name still carried on the side. Up top are the ladders and roof gear, and it still runs its blue lights, siren and bell.
We can hire it exactly as it is, or our graphics team can re-livery it in-house to a different brigade, a period scheme or a fictional service to suit a production.
This is not a stripped-out shell. It comes complete with its period kit, ladders, hoses, branches and breathing apparatus, so every detail reads true on camera and draws a crowd at an event.
Best of all, the pump still works, and can deliver water on a closed or agreed site, which makes for a real showpiece. Any use of the pump, lights or audible warnings is planned with you in advance and only where it is safe and permitted.
