Owned by us, hired directly from us
Every vehicle in our fleet is wholly owned by Klassic Garage. We are not a broker or middleman for other people's vehicles. We take real pride in our own collection, and we know each vehicle's history, character and abilities inside out, knowledge that comes with every hire, whether it is working on set or on parade.
Built for Britain, ready for anything. An authentic British Army Land Rover for productions, events and occasions across London and nationwide.
A genuine military vehicle for war dramas, period pieces, music videos and adverts, from Cold War Europe to modern deployments. Re-marked in-house to your unit and era, driven on set by our team or placed static, with military advisory available.
A natural draw at military shows, Armed Forces Day, history events and re-enactments, and a fitting presence at Remembrance and commemorations. We also provide it, with care and discretion, for military and ex-serviceman funerals and tributes.
A tough, characterful backdrop for brand activations, outdoor and adventure campaigns, product launches and editorial or fashion photoshoots that need genuine military presence.
Military and countryside themed wedding hire across London, Hertfordshire, Cambridgeshire and beyond. Chauffeur driven by our own team for a memorable arrival, or positioned as a striking static feature for photographs.
Watch: the FFR out for a drive
Land Rover built the Series III from 1971 to 1985 as the workhorse of the British Army and a familiar sight across the Commonwealth. Simple, rugged and endlessly repairable, it earned its reputation for going anywhere and getting the job done.
The FFR, or Fitted For Radio, variant was wired and equipped to carry battlefield communications, with a heavy-duty 24-volt electrical system, screening against interference, and mountings for radio sets and the tall whip aerials that mark it out at a glance.
Ours is a 1984 Series III FFR in NATO green, a genuine ex-British Army vehicle carrying authentic markings, with whip aerials and a period radio set fitted. It reads instantly as British Army, and we can re-mark it in-house to suit any unit, formation or era from the 1970s to the 1990s.
This particular Series III FFR began its service with the British Army driving school, one of the vehicles a generation of soldiers first learned on, before being deployed to various theatres in its Fitted For Radio role.
There is a nice symmetry to where it ended up. Klassic Garage's Chris learned to drive in a Series III just like this one in the 1980s during his own British Army service, before going on to become a tank driver.
So when this Land Rover is on set or on location, it is in hands that know exactly what it is and how it was used. That first-hand knowledge, and full military advisory if you need it, comes with every hire.
