Ex-British Army · Armoured patrol Land Rover · Military green · London based, nationwide
The Snatch is the armoured patrol Land Rover used by the British Army for protected mobility, a Defender built up with armoured bodywork and glass for security and patrol work. Ours is a genuine ex-forces example with the serious, operational look that only a real armoured vehicle has. It is a powerful military picture vehicle for film and TV, exhibitions, events, PR and photoshoots across London and nationwide, and it can be re-liveried in-house to any unit or theatre.
Driven only by our team, on set or moved into position for a static hire. You are welcome to sit in for photographs. Self drive is not offered unless separately agreed.
Owned by us, hired directly from us
Every vehicle in our fleet is wholly owned by Klassic Garage. We are not a broker or middleman for other people's vehicles. We take real pride in our own collection, and we know each vehicle's history, character and abilities inside out, knowledge that comes with every hire, whether it is working on set or out on display at an event.
An armoured patrol Land Rover with a serious, operational look, for productions and events across London and nationwide.
On patrol
The Snatch reads instantly as a modern patrol and security vehicle, ideal for military and conflict dramas, thrillers and news-style scenes. Driven on set by our team and re-liveried in-house to any unit or theatre.
A genuine armoured Land Rover for museum displays, defence exhibitions, armed forces days and training scenarios, where its operational history draws real interest.
A commanding centrepiece for security, adventure and heritage activations and press days, and an armoured, worked-in vehicle that adds genuine grit to editorial and product shoots.
The Snatch Land Rover was developed to give troops protected mobility, taking the familiar Land Rover base and adding armoured bodywork and glass. It first saw service in the 1990s and went on to become one of the most recognisable patrol vehicles of the modern British Army.
Where a standard Land Rover is all openness and light, the Snatch is the opposite, closed in, purposeful and unmistakably operational. That serious character is exactly what makes it so effective on screen.
Ours is a genuine ex-forces Snatch. We hire it in its honest military state, and our graphics team can re-livery it in-house to a particular unit, theatre or period as a production requires.
