Ex-British Army · WMIK weapons-mount patrol · Desert finish · London based, nationwide
The WMIK, short for Weapons Mount Installation Kit, is the fast, open, stripped-down Land Rover used for patrol and convoy protection in recent desert campaigns. Roll cage, weapon mounts and no doors give it an unmistakable tactical look. Ours is a genuine ex-forces example, an eye-catching military picture vehicle for film and TV, exhibitions, events, PR and photoshoots across London and nationwide, and it can be re-liveried in-house to any unit or theatre.
Driven only by our team, on set or moved into position for a static hire. You are welcome to sit in for photographs. Self drive is not offered unless separately agreed.
Owned by us, hired directly from us
Every vehicle in our fleet is wholly owned by Klassic Garage. We are not a broker or middleman for other people's vehicles. We take real pride in our own collection, and we know each vehicle's history, character and abilities inside out, knowledge that comes with every hire, whether it is working on set or out on display at an event.
An open desert patrol Land Rover with a fast, tactical look, for productions and events across London and nationwide.
Tactical patrol
The WMIK is the open, stripped patrol Land Rover of recent desert campaigns, so it reads instantly as modern forces. A striking hero or convoy vehicle for war and action productions, driven on set by our team.
A genuine weapons-mount patrol vehicle for defence exhibitions, museums, armed forces days and commemorations, where its recent-history look commands attention.
An adventurous anchor for outdoor and heritage brand activations, launches and press days, and an open, kit-covered vehicle that brings scale and authenticity to editorial and product shoots.
The WMIK was developed to give patrols a fast, light, heavily armed vehicle. Built around a reinforced Land Rover with the bodywork stripped back and a full roll cage added, it carries weapon mounts front and rear and deliberately does without doors and roof for speed, visibility and quick exit.
It became one of the defining images of recent British desert operations, working in convoy protection and reconnaissance roles. Open, purposeful and bristling with kit, it looks like nothing else on the road.
Ours is a genuine ex-forces WMIK in a desert finish. We hire it as it is, and our graphics team can re-livery or re-dress it in-house to match a specific unit, theatre or production.
