Ex-British Army · Land Rover Wolf (Defender XD) · Military green · London based, nationwide
The Land Rover Wolf is the modern British Army Land Rover, the tougher, uprated Defender XD built to military specification and worked hard in service. Ours is a genuine ex-forces example in military green, with the honest, purposeful character of a vehicle that earned its keep. It is a versatile military picture vehicle for film and TV, commemorations, events, PR and photoshoots across London and nationwide, and our graphics team can re-livery it in-house to any unit, theatre or era.
Driven only by our team, on set or moved into position for a static hire. You are welcome to sit in for photographs. Self drive is not offered unless separately agreed.
Owned by us, hired directly from us
Every vehicle in our fleet is wholly owned by Klassic Garage. We are not a broker or middleman for other people's vehicles. We take real pride in our own collection, and we know each vehicle's history, character and abilities inside out, knowledge that comes with every hire, whether it is working on set or out on display at an event.
A genuine British Army Land Rover with real presence, for productions, commemorations and events across London and nationwide.
Fit for service
The Wolf is the modern British Army Land Rover, so it reads instantly as forces on camera. A natural background or hero vehicle for dramas, adverts and music videos, driven on set by our team and re-liveried in-house to any unit or era.
A dignified, authentic presence for armed forces days, remembrance events, veterans' gatherings and museum displays, as a driven feature or a static centrepiece.
A hard-wearing anchor for outdoor, adventure and heritage brand activations, launches and press days, and a genuine service vehicle that brings real military texture to editorial and product shoots.
When the British Army needed to replace its ageing fleet in the mid 1990s, Land Rover developed the Wolf, an uprated Defender XD built to a far tougher military standard. Stronger chassis, heavier axles and a reworked structure meant it could take punishment the civilian Defender never would.
It became the standard light vehicle of the modern British forces, seen everywhere from bases at home to operations abroad, in general service, radio and command roles. Plain, rugged and unmistakably military, it is the Land Rover a generation of soldiers actually drove.
Ours is a genuine ex-forces Wolf, kept in honest military condition. We can hire it as it is, or our graphics team can re-livery it in-house to a specific unit, theatre or period to suit a production.
